The 28-year-old British Albanian icon, who has been a campaigner and advocate of the global charity since 2013, surprised more than 400 children at the Activate event in the capital of Prishtina on Wednesday after arriving in the country earlier this week.
The singer’s visit to the European country, which is in aid of Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2019, also saw the pop star spend time meeting young people that had been supported by UNICEF.
The British singer, who left Kosovo at the age of one, travelled to the European country to meet youths who had been helped by the charity.
Expressing her excitement she said: ‘I’m so happy to be back in Kosovo and honoured to be meeting children and families supported by Unicef.
‘This is my first trip with Unicef and seeing how the programmes positively impact the health and development of children drives home how important it is for us all to keep supporting Unicef.
‘I can’t wait to tell everyone more about the work I have seen, the people I’ve met and why I’m so proud to be involved in Soccer Aid for Unicef this year.’
