An Albanian man hunted by police after absconding from an immigration centre is now one of Britain’s most wanted – but not necessarily by the authorities.
Police Scotland posted a mugshot of Guxim Imerio on Facebook as part of an appeal to find him, but the image received dozens of swooning comments from admirers.
The 25-year-old, described by the appeal as 5ft 6 and with ‘an oval face and sharp features’, was lauded by female fans as ‘stunningly handsome’.
Another admirer called Imerio, who absconded from Dungavel Immigration Centre in South Lanarkshire at 9.40pm on Monday, ‘a right swipe on Tinder’.
Imerio, who is not fluent in English, has short black hair, brown eyes and a ‘clear complexion’, according to police, who added that he was ‘possibly unshaven’.
He was last seen wearing a light grey hooded top with a green Liverpool FC top underneath and grey jogging bottoms.
He is not known to have family in the UK but may have some links in the Manchester area and as such could be trying to return there.
Laura Campbell wrote underneath the Facebook appeal: ‘He’s a stunningly handsome man.
‘Some wee wifey will come across him in her field and he’ll be found living under her skirt many, many years from now.’
Shelley Mcknight said: ‘Offft what a stunning chap Come to mama bear I will heat u up.’
Claire Malone commented: ‘Lynn Mcintosh see if you see him on your travels keep him for me he can come stay with me.’
