A COMMUNITY will be coming together on Monday to raise money for the family of a taxi driver who died in an earthquake.
Woodstock will remember Klement Cupi, who died in an Albanian earthquake.
Mevlan Karaj, owner of Brotherton’s Restaurant, lost not only his beloved cousin, Klement, but also his aunt and uncle in the tragedy.
The Woodstock community is coming together in solidarity for Mr Karaj and money raised will help rebuild their home in Thumane, Albania.
Nevrus Hair – which is usually closed on Mondays – will be opening with all money raised going to the Community for Klement Fund.
Owner Nevrus Manarkolli said: “I wanted to stand in solidarity and raise awareness for what happened in my home country, opening for the day in the busy Christmas season and actively doing something to support Mev seemed like the right thing to do”.
