The 29-year-old midfielder from Montville has signed with FK Partizani in the Albanian Superliga. Duka, who speaks fluent Albanian, was on trial in his parents’ homeland for two weeks. The deal is reportedly for 1½ years.
Partizani defeated KS Kastrioti, 4-2, in the first leg of the second round of the Albanian Cup on Tuesday. The team is coached by Skënder Gega, a former assistant with the United States under-17 women’s national team and Seton Hall University.
After eight seasons in Major League Soccer, Dilly Duka led FC Motown to the National Premier Soccer League final. Duka had seven goals in as many matches for the amateur club, which plays at Drew University.
