Based on a survey done on Facebook page ‘UK Albanians Network’, majority of British Albanians will vote Labour tomorrow, during Local Elections 2018 in England.

British Albanians usually vote Labour, as shown on above Facebook survey, but what makes this year’s Local Elections in England different is that this time five Albanians are running for councillors.

Kastriot Berberi is an Immigration Lawyer at “K. BERBERI LAW”, he was elected as a councillor in 2014 for Forest ward in Waltham Forest, tomorrow he is running again for the same job.

Anila Skeja is the Conservative and Unionist Party candidate in Coppetts in the Barnet local election. Originally from Librazhd, Albania.

Endri is a successful professional and well-known activist. He has completed his postgraduate and postgraduate studies in London, and has a degree in Management at the level of the Master of Science, he has experiences in the academia, telecommunications, international non-governmental organisations and banking system.

Sara Gezdari – was born in Albania, and raised in Italy where she spent her childhood and teenage years. She first nurtured her passion for politics as a student at university and developed it through the years. She is a member of the Italian Conservatives UK group in London. Her professional career has been focused in the hospitality and leisure market where she acted for almost 10 years as a sales manager in one of the major Italian hotel chains .

Regarding standing as a candidate in next year’s borough elections Sara says “with a drive for politics and my typical hands on approach I feel like standing as a councillor is the best way I have to participate in the community in which I live.

“It is now time to build on the excellent job that has been done since Richmond Borough Conservatives took control of the Council, especially in connection to environmental challenges. If elected I would like to focus my term on enhancing the village feel of the ward and continuing to protect our wonderful green spaces. I’ll also work to ensure that our local shops and businesses receive the support that they need.”

Naim Hasani is a consultant solicitor in the Immigration Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. He joined the firm in October 2012 to supervise Judicial Review work in immigration and he is Level 3 Law Society Accredited Advance Immigration Caseworker.
