Kosovo women pursue online employment by using the internet

Around 93.2 per cent of households had internet access from home in 2018, from any device, according to a survey by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics. Online access was mostly from mobile phones, followed by laptops, desktop computers and then tablets. Meanwhile, internet use for accessing public services online increased by 4.4 per cent compared to 2017.

Of the 93.2 per cent of households who had access to the internet via landline and mobile, 90.2 per cent were served with a fixed line and 24.6 per cent with a mobile line.

On the other hand, in 2018, of all households in Great Britain, 90% had access to the internet. This has started to level off over the last few years, rising by only 1 percentage point since 2016. However, household internet access has increased by 33 percentage points since 2006.
