Horizon Teachers are looking to recruit a full time Albanian Speaking Teaching Assistant to join an SEN department in a Good school.

The EAL department are responsible for planning and implementing interventions for the EAL learners; measuring the impact of interventions; monitoring the progress of EAL students, and also for developing and improving EAL teaching and learning throughout the academy.

The Role

We are looking for EAL Teaching Assistants who are keen to gain experience working on a 1:1 basis, or with small groups of pupils.

The school are keen to hear from candidates who are looking to become teachers in the near future.

The EAL Co-Ordinator is keen to appoint enthusiastic graduates with Degree or ESOL experience working within an SEN department and you will be keen to develop your career working within a secondary school.

The role requires you to work within the EAL department as an Albanian Speaking Teaching Assistant across both key stage 3 and 4. The hours are 35hrs/39 weeks; you would need to be flexible around exam time to support key stage 4 pupils.

Hold a Degree or ESOL/TESOL qualification

Ability to speak and write in fluent English alongside Albanian / willingness to act as an interpreter when asked.

Experience working with students with SEN/D

Genuine passion for EAL

Strong interpersonal skills

Friendly and professional manor

Experience working with students with Social, Emotional or Mental Health difficulties

Be flexible and proactive within your school day
