There’s plenty of talk around Dua Lipa, and for good reason. The London-born newcomer’s ‘New Love’ video felt like a celebration in colourful, dynamic pop, and new single ‘Be The One’ takes that mantra and goes skywards.
‘Be The One’ is a sweet club track given pop takeover potential. And it’s not a question of if Dua Lipa takes over by the point – it’s when.
Dua Lipa made quite the impression with her debut drop ‘New Love’ back in August, which the smoky-voiced singer describes as “a song about facing the fear of losing the only thing that matters to you.” Armed with a new single, Lipa isn’t messing about and is keeping the gorgeous tunes coming.
Co-written with Pawws and produced by rising production outfit Digital Farm Animals, ‘Be The One’ is another breezy, effortless pop number that she says is about “self-belief, perseverance, and fighting for what you want.” The accompanying clip sees her frolicking through fields and riding through the streets of London, complementing the record seamlessly.
With her followup today – “Be The One” – the young singer-songwriter takes what’s probably her biggest leap towards pop dominance yet.
