Book: Share: The Women For Women Cookbook

Book: “Share: The Women For Women Cookbook”

A new cookbook has just come out that celebrates the work of the charity Women for Women International (WfWI), it is supported by celebrities and its foreword is written by Meryl Streep.

‘Share: The Women For Women Cookbook’ includes contributions from international chefs such as Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, as well as actresses such as Emma Thompson, Dame Judi Dench, Annie Lennox and Mia Farrow.

Described as ‘perfect for anyone who loves to learn more about food from other cultures and cook less familiar dishes’, recipes range from traditional Afghani flatbreads stuffed with falafel and Kosovan sticky doughnuts to split pea soup, lamb burgers with mint and beetroot, and apple tea with cinnamon.

About WfWI

Since being founded in 1993, WfWI has helped nearly 500,000 women across Afghanistan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda, and South Sudan where war and conflict have devastated lives and communities.

When women enrol in WfWI’s one-year programme, they receive financial and emotional support, education and job training, and access to business skills, capital and markets.

100 per cent of the royalties from the book will support farming and food training initiatives for the eight countries in which WfWI operate.
