Ten years on from military intervention in Kosovo, refugees who fled to Scotland are celebrating a decade of freedom.

As part of Refugee Week 2009 Remzije from Kosovo talks about what home means to her, a Refugee living in Scotland, and what object signifies being at home.

Another former refugee Viollca Gjana fled Kosovo for Scotland and has settled in Glasgow with her family.

She lost her home and teaching job in the civil war. When she came to Scotland, Mrs Gjana trained to take up a teaching post in her new home. She became the first refugee teacher in Glasgow.
