Police used teargas in an attempt to disperse protesters who were angered by Vetevendosje deputy, Albin Kurti’s, arrest last week.

A series of now-familiar images from Kosovo’s Assembly have been beamed around the country, the region and the world in recent weeks. Eggs, whistles and teargas are just some of the unusual forms of protest that have been used by opposition deputies as part of successful attempts to block the Assembly’s work. The protests are all related to two international deals signed by Kosovo in August with Serbia and with Montenegro, which detractors argue are against the interests of Kosovo and its citizens.
