· Poezitë dërgohen me të dhënat e plota të autorit si: emri , mbiemri, numri personal dhe adresa e saktë. Në rast të fitimit të ndonjë çmimi, autori do të deklarohet a do të vij personalisht të tërheq shpërblimin apo do të dërgoi një xhirollogari ku do ti derdhen të hollat e shpërblimit.
· Të drejt konkurimi nuk kanë vetëm anëtarët e redaksisë së Klubit Poetik Virtual “ZAHIRI” të cilët i gjeni në faqen zyrtare ne facebook.
· Konkursi hapet me 01 shtator 2010 dhe mbyllet me datën 10.shtat0r 2010.
· Me këtë datë komisioni do të filloi punën e vlerësimit sipas një procedure të përcaktuar, dhe në fund do të përzgjedh një numër të poezive për botim ( fillimisht botim në formatin PDF dhe i cili do të mbahet publik në faqe).
· Prej poezive të përzgjedhura, tri nga ato që do të vlerësohen më të mirat , do të shpërblehen me të holla.
· Emrat e anëtarëve të komisionit , deri në ditën e shpalljes së rezultateve, që do të bëhet në një orë letrare në Prishtinë, do të jenë të njohur vetëm për organizuestit e konkursit. Ditën e shpalljes së rezultateve do të bëhen publik edhe emrat e anëtarëve të komisionit, të cilët njëherit mbajnë edhe përgjegjësinë morale për vlerësimin.

Albania, Kosovo and neighbouring Macedonia honoured Mother Teresa last week on the 100th anniversary of her birth in Skopje, now in Macedonia, to Albanian parents.

In the Albanian capital of Tirana hundreds of people of all ages gathered on Thursday morning to place red roses at the Mother Teresa monument on the square also bearing her name.

“Mother Teresa deserves respect and I am proud to have the same origins as her,” 20-year old student Tea, dressed in white and blue - the colours of Mother Teresa’s order - told AFP.

For several days all the main streets in Tirana have been decorated with little white and blue flags and portraits of the nun, who became known as the “Saint of the Gutters” for her work with India’s poor and destitute.

The Albanian authorities also announced they will issue special gold commemorative coins with Mother Teresa’s likeness.

Born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in 1910, she arrived in India in 1929 and two years later took her first religious vows as a nun and adopted the name Teresa under which she would achieve worldwide recognition.

Mother Teresa was beatified in 2003, after being fast-tracked by the Vatican, but her elevation to sainthood is still awaiting proof of a medical miracle.

On Thursday 24th June, about 130 people came to Parmoor House, Frieth near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire to mark the 70th anniversary of King Zog of Albania’s exile in Britain in June 1940.

History

King Zog had married the beautiful Hungarian Countess Geraldine in 1938 and they had a son Prince Leka in April 1939.  Two days later Mussolini’s Italy invaded and occupied Albania, and the royal family fled into exile.  They trekked through Europe and came to England in June 1940.  At first they lived at The Ritz in London, and then in summer 1941 at Ascot and then in September 1941 they moved to Parmoor House, Frieth, Bucks.

Local Connections

Many Albanians lived in Chiltern villages of Frieth and Lane End during the war.  King Zog left England in January 1946 to live in Egypt, but many Albanians remained in England.

Event

On Thursday 24th June local people from Frieth and Lane End with Albanian connections, and prominent members of the Albanian community came to Parmoor House for an Albanian Heritage Day.  King Zog’s grandson HRH Prince Leka II came over from Albania to unveil a blue plaque on the house.  He had recently got engaged to Miss Elia Zaharia, and this was their first official appointment as an engaged couple.  About 130 people attended the day from the local area and from the Albanian community.

Speeches were given by HRH Prince Leka II, the Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Lady Parmoor, the Chairman of the Anglo-Albanian Association and others.

New Book

A buffet lunch was served and then there was a book launch for a new local history book called “A Royal Exile – King Zog and Queen Geraldine of Albania” which tells the story of the Albanian royal family and their wartime exile in the Thames Valley and Chilterns.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has said that NATO intervention in Kosovo was necessary and that the existence of an independent state of Kosovo is proof of that.
“It would have been a terrible thing if the West had allowed the situation to continue unchecked,” Blair said in a addressing the Kosovo’s assembly members in his speech on Friday July 9th 2010. While after his speech in a solemn meeting with Kosovo Parliament members, former British PM (in picture), meet with citizens of Kosovo in Scanderbeg square in Pristina the capitol city of Kosovo.

Blair, while prime minister of Britain, was one of the most vocal supporters of NATO intervention in Kosovo in 1999. NATO’s action resulted in the withdrawal of Serbian troops and the placement of Kosovo under UN interim administration.

Kosovo declared its independence in 2008 and has since been recognised by 69 states, including most western countries.

Blair is in Kosovo on a much anticipated two-day visit to meet with officials of the Kosovo government.

Media reports state that the Zogaj family lost their final appeal against a refusal to grant them asylum at Austria’s highest court on 14 June 2010 where the constitutional court, ruled against the Zogaj family, who entered the country illegally in 2002.

More than 100 refugee pupils from primary and secondary schools across Camden in London were honoured for their achievements during an awards ceremony at the Camden Centre.

The children and young people received certificates from the Mayor of Camden, Councillor Jonathan Simpson, for their high academic achievements, good progress in their studies and other contributions to school life, including sports, arts and supporting others.

The Refugee Pupils’ Achievement Awards Ceremony, which took place on Tuesday 22 June, is now in its ninth year and is run by Camden Council’s school improvement service. It aims to recognise the extra efforts and particular contributions made by children and young people from refugee families.

Many are recent arrivals in the country and face challenges adjusting to a new language and culture as well as settling in at school and keeping up with their studies.

Despite this, many have made good progress at school and achieved amazing results.

Councillor Heather Johnson, Cabinet Member for Children, Schools and Families, Camden Council, said: “The commitment to learning shown by these young people is an excellent example to others. Your families and schools are rightly very proud.”

“Mr Arapi went to the High Court in London on Tuesday to fight against extradition. The 29-year-old Albanian chef, who lives in Leek, Staffordshire, knew nothing about the trial and said he had an alibi.
