Deported Albanian woman to return to America after 20 months

An Albanian woman, Gjystina Hines, deported 20 months ago to Albania has been given permission to come back to Livingston County, USA.

But it is going to be a bittersweet return for Gjystina who was pregnant when U.S. Immigration officials sent her back in November 2007.

She will be alone when she arrives in the United States.

Her 8-month-old son died just before Christmas from complications from surgery for a birth defect.

“Her mother-in-law, Tracey Hines, tells the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus of Howell she cried when she found out Tuesday that Immigration officials had approved a waiver allowing Gjystina Hines to return.”

According to Tracey Hines her daughter-in-law could be back within one or two weeks.
