For the first time in its long and colorful history, this year’s edition of The New Year’s Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic included a performance by an Albanian musician during the program’s intermission in a form of a 4 minute video.

Renowned violinist Shkelzen Doli, who was born in Albania and raised in Kosova, exquisitely performed melodies based on the traditional Albanian folk music, put together in a four-minute video played during the intermission.

The famous concert is traditionally performed every year on the 1 January, and is the world’s most popular show of the classical music and Shkelzen Doli is the Second violin in Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra since 2009.
